Merry Christmas!!!

"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given... And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6

How blessed we are this Christmas season!!!

Tre is at a wonderful age and has already enjoyed the festivities of the holidays. How fun it will be to see the excitement on his face Christmas morning when Santa has come.

Quinn will be arriving very soon, and we can not wait to meet her and introduce her to Tre. It will be interesting to see how he reacts to there being a baby in the family. He will be a little jealous I am sure, but will be a wonderful brother.

We hope for you a blessed Christmas and wonderful beginning to the new year!

"Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests." Luke 2:14

Our Little Scarecrow

Last night was the annual community Harvest Festival at our church. Tre dressed as a scarecrow for the occasion. He was excited to dress up and see all of the fun things at the festival. He especially liked the train ride, balloons, and basketball shoot.

This year it was quite a challenge to get a good picture of Tre in his costume. He had too much to see, and did not want to be still for anything.

Cheeeeze

Tre likes getting his picture taken. He says "cheeeeeze" with the sweetest smile.

Tre's love for football has started mighty young. He loves watching games with his daddy. He even enjoyed the Fayette County Football game a couple of weeks ago.

Sunday Naps

I don't know why but Sunday afternoon naps are always the best. Tre usually takes a very long nap on Sunday afternoons. I could not resist taking these sweet pictures of him.

County Fair

The fair is in town. We took Tre for a little while last night to see the lights and animals. The only thing he could ride was the carousel. It was his first time to ride and he loved it. He and Scott rode it twice.

We came home from the fair and got ready for bed. Scott likes to give Tre new hairdos.

Chattanooga

This past weekend we took a short family vacation to Chattanooga, TN. I had not been in many years and we thought that it would be the perfect time of year to go. The weather was wonderful and the leaves were just starting to change. Tre really enjoyed the trip. Below are pictures of some of the fun things we did.
Tre and Scott on the Chattanooga Choo Choo.

At night there were horse and carriage rides. We did not ride, but Tre had the opportunity to pet the horse. In this picture he seems a little scared. He did pet her but was a little unsure.

We went to the Children's Discovery Museum one afternoon. It was wonderful!! Tre had a blast and wore himself out. His favorite things were the water play areas and the toddler area with a kitchen, tree house, and train track.

Tre and Scott play in the water. All the other little ones played so gently with the ducks and boats. Tre splashed in the water and was soaking wet by the time we left. He definetly enjoyed himself. He slept 12 hours that night!! The longest he has ever slept. We look forward to taking him back to the museum, but we will make sure that we are well rested. Scott and I were worn out as well from chasing him through the play areas.

Before coming home we went to the Aquarium. Tre loves fish. In the picture above, we are in the butterfly garden. They were releasing new butterflies into the garden. Tre tried his best to catch one, but they were a little to quick for him.

Looking at all the fish in the aquarium.

There were areas in the aquarium where you could lye down or sit to view the fish.

Fish swim above Tre.

I was reminded once again of the splendor and beauty of God's creation. He is truly amazing!

Uncle Brett, Aunt Lindsey, and Ava Visit

We were so excited to have Uncle Brett Quinn, Aunt Lindsey, and Ava come and visit with us. Tre and Ava played so good together, except that Tre would get a little jealous at times. He will have to get used to having a little girl around. He taught her to play with his trucks, cars, and Mickey Mouse clubhouse.

She is too sweet!! She's says Roll Tide!

Hayride

Friday night was the annual Children's Hayride for our church. Scott and Tre drove one of the tractors. This was Tre's first "big' tractor ride, and he loved it! They carried the children through pasteurs of cows, horses, ostriches, geese, lama, and deer. After the hayride we settled down at a cabin in the woods and ate hot dogs and made smores from a camp fire. It was such a neat thing for the kids and a wonderful time to bring in the fall.
Tre in the hay.

Tre has started early with his love for football. On Saturdays he likes to watch football with his daddy. At the hayride he thought he was big enough to play football with the big kids.

Giving the dog a kiss through the fence. He loves animals! We were at a church members farm. He has deer, rabbits, turkeys, peacocks, bison, ponies, and other animals as mentioned earlier. We carry Tre there at least once a month. He can feed the animals or we just ride him around to see them. He gets really excited about it.

It's a Girl!!

How excited and how blessed we are to be having a little girl! We found out this morning that Tre will have a little sister to play with and love. Our due date is holding at January 10th, but we will see what happens as time passes and the baby develops. Please keep us in your prayers as we embark on a new journey with two.

Cowboy on the Loose

When Tre gets a little older he will be very upset with me for putting these pictures on our blog for everyone to see, but I could not resist.
Tre loves his cowboy hat. For days now he will get it out of his room and wear it around the house. It was time for bath and he went to his room, got his hat and ran around the house.
He is at such a fun age! His little personality is too cute. I treasure this time with him!

I know it has been forever since I have updated our blog. It has been a little busy around the Davis household.
We had the honor to serve at the International Gideon's Convention last week in Kentucky. We had a wonderful time teaching 10 and 11 year olds and visiting friends. Tre especially had a good time, but he was exhausted by all the happenings and change of pace. Below are a few pictures from our trip. ( my camara decided not to work for most of the trip so our pictures are limited)

Tre worn out after a long day at convention.

We went on an excursion everyday with the kids. One day we all went to a museum where they had a petting zoo. The pig was the first thing Tre went to. Scott had to catch him so that he did not get stinky and dirty.

Tre at the Six Flags water park. He loved the kiddy area.

He also loved the escalators. I have no idea how many times we road them, but here is a picture of Scott and Tre on one of the many rides.

Playing in Water

Tre loves to play in water, especially the water hose. This afternoon Scott and I took Tre outside to play in his pool and splash mat. He had a blast!! He loves getting splashed. He could not stay on his feet, though. He would stand up and then slip and fall. He must have thought it was fun, He fell about 7 times and laughed every time. We finally put water shoes on him afraid that he may get hurt.

Growing, Growing, Growing...

Tre is growing way too fast!!
I am amazed at how he develops and learns new things everyday. Below are pictures are things he has learned and things he loves to get into. Everyday is a new adventure that we treasure.
He is such a blessing to our family!
Blowing a kiss

Tre loves playing with shoes, especially his daddy's.

Carrying Tre in a duffel bag. Tre thought it was funny.

He loves to get in the kitchen cabinets. Today he thought he would sit in the crock pot, only to find that he could not get out.

Too Sweet!!
