Enjoying Fall

We are loving the cooler temperatures and beauty that Fall brings to our area. It is such a reminder of how good God is and his awesome power.
We are all doing great. God has been so good to us.
The kids are such a blessing and bring so much joy to our lives. Tre is learning so much. He still goes to Pre-school 2 days a week and absolutely loves it. Miss Priss is into "EVERYTHING"!!!! :) But it is so great to see her moving around and enjoying life. She and Tre are so sweet together. Below are some pictures that I took last week. It was quite difficult to get a good picture of them together. Getting Tre to sit still for one second and keeping Quinn from eating the mums was challenging.

Beach 09

Our family took a short beach trip this past week. It was a lot of fun. This was Tre's first time at the beach in over a year, so he was able to really enjoy it. As you can see in the pictures he had a blast digging with his tractors. This was Quinns first trip to the beach. She liked playing in the sand, but was not crazy about the water.

Playing "patty-cake"

This picture is not at the beach, but I could not help but include it. Bath time pictures are so sweet at this age. Look at those rolls. :)

Growing Fast

I must say my little ones are growing way too fast. Tre is turning into a "Big Boy" and Quinn is 7 months old. We are in the process of potty training. How Fun!! :) The is our 1 st week of really hitting it hard, but it hasn't been too terrible. Tre is all about being a "big boy". Quinn is rolling everywhere, and as you can see she loves to eat. :) She still adores her brother. He is just a little jealous now that she is on the move. She likes to play with his toys too.

Miss Quinn loves "biter biscuits" and as you can see she makes a very nice mess.

Way Overdue!!

I must say I can not believe that it has been almost 3 months since our last update. I seem to find other things to do, rather than update our blog. Sorry about that. I know many of you have been anxious to hear from us and see pictures of Tre and Quinn. I must say they are both growing by leeps and bounds. Tre is growing physically, but he has really been developing into a "little boy". He is attending a preschool 2 days a week now and is doing great! He loves it. As a mom it was soooo hard to put him in school, but it has been the BEST thing for him and for me. He is learning so much. I have been amazed at how his vocabulary is growing. He is talking a lot more and is making sentences rather than just using one word. And my favorite thing he has been doing lately is sing the blessing. HOW PRECIOUS!!! It melts my heart to hear him sing to the Lord, and I know it blesses Him even more.
Miss Quinn is growing extremely fast. She is at the 20lb mark and is looking more like her daddy everyday. (Maybe if the Lord sees fit that we have more children my genes will be a little stronger :) ) She is rolling over and is the sweetest and happiest little one. She has been a tremendous blessing to our family. She adores her daddy and Tre. She can be fussy and when they are around she is calm and laughing. Tre loves her as well. The sweetest thing happens when Quinn wakes up. He can't wait to see her and exclaims "Quinn woke up!" You then hear him at her bed saying "Hey Princess!" I love it, too sweet.

We are settled in our house and are enjoying every minute. The renovation continues, but mostly on the outside. I will post pics as we finish.

Below are some of the latest pics of our family. Hope your week is a wonderful one! I will do my best to update sooner the next time.
We love you!

"Big Boy" Tre loves to wear Daddy's hat.

Tre got a John Deer Tractor for his birthday. He enjoys helping Daddy in the yard.

Happy Resurection Day!!!

We have had a wonderful day! I hope you have as well. We were able to go to church with The Crocker's, friends of Scott's from High School, and were able to relax a little this afternoon. We went to Champion Forrest Baptist, about 45 min out of Houston. They had an amazing Easter drama full of excitement and celebration of our Lord and Saviour. It was so refreshing to get away for a little while and enjoy a time of worship.

Unfortunately, we were not able to get a picture of Tre and Quinn together in their Easter attire. Tre had a little accident at church and had to change clothes early. I guess I can dress them up again in Easter clothes at a later date and take their picture together.

Tre has enjoyed playing with Easter eggs. We were not able to go to an official Easter Egg Hunt here in Texas, but have had fun playing in the Hotel.

Hope this week is a wonderful one!!

Busy as Bees

Wow how time flies! These past three months have been busy for the Davis family. Quinn and Tre are both growing sooo fast. It is so hard to believe that Tre will be 2 in less than one month and Quinn was three months old on Friday. They both amaze us more and more everyday. Quinn is our little princess, full of smiles and brings so much joy to our lives. Tre is full of energy and excitement. He keeps us on the go and brightens our day with all that he is learning and says. His vocabulary has grown so much over the last month. I love it when he says "Thank you Momma." He is also learning so much. I have to brag on him a little. He is such a fast learner and loves to learn. He knows his ABCs and his numbers 1 to 10. Puzzles have been wonderful in helping him to learn. We are so thankful for our sweet little ones.

Princess Quinn

We have also been remodeling an older home for the past 6 months and moved in two weeks ago. We are so glad to be in and are looking forward to settling in soon. We are currently in Houston, TX with Mr. Scott. We have been here for a week and plan to stay till the end of next week. Please keep Mr. Scott in your prayers. Many of you know that he was diagnosed in February with a rare form of cancer. He had surgery last Tuesday and is recoverying well. Surgery did not go as we had hoped, but thankfully Mr. Scott is recovering well and is under the care of the best physicians, especially our "Great Physician". Please pray for him and our family these next few weeks as He recovers and makes decisions for future treatments and medical care.

Blessed

We have been blessed with two wonderful children. Quinn is doing great and is growing sooo fast. She has been the best baby and is sleeping good at night, which is a tremendous blessing. (Tre has never been a very good sleeper.) Tre has been an excellent brother. He has adjusted wonderfully to having Quinn at home. He loves her so much and is quite protective of his little sister. Below are a just a couple of pictures from the past couple of weeks. Thank you for your continued prayers for our family. We have definetly felt them, and know that the transition has been an easy one because of the Lord's blessing.

Update on Quinn

Unfortunately, Quinn is not at home with us yet. She is doing good, but is having difficulties eatting the amount necessary to maintain her weight. She is a healthy girl, but until she is ingesting the ounces needed, she will have to stay in the NICU. She is taking about half of her feedings through bottle and the rest through a NG tube. Please pray with us that she will begin to eat and keep down her meals. We praise the Lord that she is healthy and has no serious medical conditions. We know that she is in the Lord's hands and He has a wonderful plan, but we are anxious to have her home with us. It gets harder every day as we visit her and not be able to bring her home, especially since she is healthy. Also. please pray for Scott, Tre, and me as our lives are a little out of routine at the moment. Tre has handled it well, but I know he is wondering what is going on. Thank you for your prayers and friendship. We will be sure to update as things progress.

Quinn Isabella Davis

We are so excited to introduce Quinn to our friends and family. She was born Saturday, January 10th at 4:33 p.m. She weighs 8 lbs 14 oz and is 21 inches long. As you can see she has a head full of black hair and looks much like her "big brother" when he was her size. Due to some complications during delivery she had to be admitted to the NICU for a few days. Scott, Tre, and I were able to come home today, and prayerfully she will be able to join us in a few days. She is doing great, but will need to have a little more care before coming home. Please pray for her and our family. We are so anxious to have her at home with us. Below are a few more pictures of her. Tre has only seen her through the window of the NICU, but he already loves his little sister, and hopefully we can post pictures of them together very soon.

Awaiting Quinn's Arrival

Wow how time flies by! It seems just like yesterday that we found out we were expecting our second, and the big day is in less than 1 week. I look back on this past year and God has blessed our family tremendously! Tre is now 1 week away from being 20 months old, and he is such a joy. Saturday we will be blessed with another addition to our family. If Quinn does not decide to come in the next couple of days, Scott and I will go in Saturday morning for an induction. We are praying that I will go into labor that morning. (Thankfully that was the case when I had Tre) What a blessing that would be. Please pray for us during this time of transition. We are very excited, but also a little anxious. It will be very interesting to see how Mr. Tre reacts to his little sister. We talk about Quinn very often, but his little mind still does not comprehend that there will be someone else getting attention in the house besides him. Please keep him in your prayers as well. We will be sure to upload information and pictures as soon as we can. Thank you for your friendships and for your prayers.
